Our Story
It all started with two friends — Lou & Mel — who met back on Australia Day, 2017. What began as a friendship soon grew into a partnership filled with laughter, adventures, and the occasional hair-appointment therapy session (yep, Lou’s been Mel’s hairdresser ever since).
Over the years, we’ve laughed with each other and at each other — sometimes both at once. Then one day, not so long ago, someone we knew called us ugly.
Say what?! We thought, we’re not THAT ugly……
True to form, we didn’t take it to heart — we ran with it. It became our inside joke, our call sign, and before we knew it, Not That Ugly was born.
And then it became more than a name...
We loved the name so much, we made it a lifestyle.
Not That Ugly is now also a clothing brand — laid-back, bold, and made for people who don’t take life (or themselves) too seriously. Every piece is inspired by the island energy we live and breathe.
